About this Role

As a Medical Recovery Coordinator, you'll be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and educating patients and families on post-intensive care recovery. You'll also communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes.

Job Details

This role is ideal for a skilled nurse with two years of recent experience in a Step Down Unit setting. Responsibilities include:
  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general medical-surgical units.
  • Monitor and assess patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and respiratory status in the step-down unit.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on post-intensive care recovery, medication management, and self-care techniques.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare team members to facilitate patient progress and optimize outcomes in the step-down unit.

Required Qualifications
  • Current RN license
  • BLS (Other Certifications as required by facility)
  • Two years of recent Step Down experience
  • Strong communication and adaptability skills
