Job Title: Registered Nurse Burn Wound Unit

Methodist Healthcare of San Antonio is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Burn Wound Unit team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care.

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality patient care by assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides comprehensive care, educates patients and families, and advocates for their needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled and/or as needed, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform the administration of prescribed medications, monitor patient response, and notify providers as necessary.
  • Conduct complete patient evaluations before procedures, including review of patient history and diagnostic tests, physical and psychological assessments, and obtain informed consent.
  • Engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals, and patient education.
Requirements:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse licensure.
  • Associate Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma.
