Job Title: Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher

At TRAINING & RESEARCH FOUNDATION, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the cognitive, social, and emotional development of infants and toddlers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the implementation of the Creative Curriculum and CDE Standards for CCTR classrooms.
  • Prepare weekly lesson plans that include indoor and outdoor activities, individualized and based on the child's needs, interests, and schedules.
  • Document volunteer activities and parent communication regarding children's functions and activities within the Program at TRF.
  • Contribute to organizing the classroom according to developmental levels and individual needs of infants and toddlers.
  • Ensure infant and toddler classrooms are home-like, safe, sanitary, and free of clutter.
  • Provide meals and snacks to children according to their age, development, and needs.
  • Involve parents in all aspects of the classroom and maintain ongoing professional and appropriate communication with parents.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records, food reports, in-kind reports, and other record keeping and reports, as required.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 12 Units in Early Childhood Education, including 3 Units in Infant/Toddler and an Assistant Teacher Permit issued from CCTC.
  • Previous experience working with Infants and Toddlers ages Birth-36 Months.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate using proper English grammar.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Additional Requirements:
  • Complete a physical examination (LIC 503), and provide proof of immunization for the following: influenza, Tdap, MMR, and a Current TB test.
  • Submission of satisfactory proof of your identity and your legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • Complete Child Abuse Mandated Reporter (AB1207).
  • Criminal Record Clearance (DOJ/FBI/CACI).
