Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Philadelphia, PA. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including diagnosing complex mechanical and electronic problems, completing complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs, and interacting with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of their complaints.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform vehicle maintenance and repair duties, including standard vehicle maintenance, preventive maintenance, and diagnosing complex mechanical and electronic problems.
  • Complete complex and detailed mechanical inspections and repairs with minimal supervision.
  • Interact with customers/drivers to properly determine the nature of their complaints.
  • Utilize key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation available.
  • Work in accordance with all federal/provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT).
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary vocational education strongly preferred.
  • Must have minimum tool requirement.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Valid CDL (license A) is highly desired; mandatory in some locations.
  • Must possess state license as required.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience with mechanical repairs and diagnostics on heavy duty and medium duty equipment.
Benefits:
  • Hourly pay: $30.00 per hour.
  • CDL Class A: $1.00 per hour.
  • State Inspection License: $1.00 per hour.
  • Sign On Bonus: $1750 paid at day 30 and $1750 paid at day 90.
  • Certification Bonus of $100 for each New ASE Certification Obtained up to $700.
  • Quarterly Bonus: Ryder Pays you up to $500 Every Quarter - Four Times Per Year.
