Job Title: Heavy Civil Estimator (Bridge Experience Required)

Job Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Civil Estimator with bridge experience to join our team. As a Heavy Civil Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing detailed estimates for bridge and other heavy civil projects, contributing to the successful bidding and execution of large-scale infrastructure work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and comprehensive estimates for bridge construction projects, including material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop cost-effective project plans.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to ensure accuracy in estimating.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather information for accurate estimates.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and participate in the bid review process.
  • Monitor and update cost databases and estimating tools to reflect current market conditions.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks within project estimates.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction estimating, with a strong focus on bridge projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools, with a strong understanding of construction cost structures.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to bridge construction projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
