Job Title: Commercial Construction Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Construction Estimator to join our team at Hazley Builders. As a key member of our commercial construction division, you will be responsible for overseeing the estimating process for our commercial projects, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of the job.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bid and Relationship Management: Seek out bid opportunities, build relationships with clients and subcontractors, and manage pre-construction activities.
  • Estimating: Create bidders' lists, perform material and labor take-offs, and assess bids to present final estimates to the VP of Commercial Construction.
  • Proposal and Pre-construction: Collaborate on final contracts and proposals, identify contract details, and prepare contingencies.
  • General: Lead by example, maintain professionalism, and build strong relationships with team members and subcontractors.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction
  • 3+ years of Procore experience (or similar software)
  • Commercial construction experience, including experience vetting subcontractors and writing contract language
  • 2+ years of project management experience, preferred
  • Tech savvy and leadership skills
