Position Overview

The role of the CT Imaging Specialist involves performing essential imaging procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. This position is critical in delivering high-quality care within the radiology department.

Certification Requirements
  • BLS Certification is a prerequisite.
  • Must possess ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT) certifications.
  • Familiarity with Toshiba X-Ray and CT equipment is beneficial, with future upgrades planned.
Job Details
  • Contract position available for qualified candidates.
  • Duration of the contract is 13 weeks.
Qualifications
  • Mandatory certifications include BLS, Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT), and Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R).
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the field is required.
  • Experience with C-ARM operation for pain management is necessary.
  • Proficiency in EPIC and PACS (Mckesson) systems is preferred.
  • Ability to conduct general CT studies, including stroke protocols.
  • Experience with Toshiba imaging equipment is advantageous.
Work Schedule
  • Shifts will vary based on contract requirements, including a combination of 10 and 12 hour shifts.
  • Occasional weekend and holiday shifts may be required.
  • On-call or standby duties for both X-Ray and CT with a 30-minute response time; X-Ray on a 7-week rotation, CT weekly.
Department Information

The radiology unit encompasses both general X-Ray and CT procedures, featuring two X-Ray rooms and portable machines, along with two CT scanners.

Additional Responsibilities
  • X-Ray duties include operating in OR, ER, inpatient, and outpatient settings, primarily for adult patients and pediatric emergencies.
  • IV initiation for CT procedures is required as per departmental protocols.
  • Dress code includes black pants and any solid color scrub top.
  • Orientation specific to the department lasts approximately 1-2 weeks, tailored to individual skill sets, and includes training on EPIC and equipment.
