Join the Baltimore City Public Schools team as an Educational Associate - Opportunity Culture Specialist, playing a vital role in shaping the district's strategy for staff leadership and development. This position is part of the Talent & Organizational Development department, which focuses on guiding and tracking learning and development across all employee categories.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with the district OC team, including bi-weekly meetings with Public Impact, to ensure effective implementation of the Opportunity Culture methodology.
- Build and maintain relationships with teacher leaders, principals, and district departments to support the OC design and implementation process.
- Screen and score applications, conduct Behavior Event Interviews, and communicate with candidates throughout the selection process.
- Develop and manage OC candidate pools and folders for school leaders to use during school-level selection.
- Support school-level selection processes to match candidates with OC roles and provide systems and operations support as needed.
- Plan, facilitate, and recruit staff to orchestrate the OC design process and ensure fidelity and robustness of the district's and each school's adherence to the five Opportunity Culture Principles.
- Monitor OC candidate selection process to ensure equity in multiple areas and track OC implementation data for Title I progress monitoring.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or institution.
- Valid Maryland State Department of Education Standard Professional Certificate and appropriate professional licensure.
- Five years of experience designing and implementing employee development programs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Strong customer service skills to support internal and external customers.
- Ability to use discretion, maintain confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
- Proficiency with MS Office 365 and ability to work effectively with all levels of staff.
