Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Equipment Technician to join our team at Snap-on Incorporated. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch service and support to our customers in the automotive equipment industry.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional service and support to customers in the automotive equipment industry.
  • Repair, maintain, and install equipment in assigned territory, adhering to established standards for repair protocol, response times, prioritization, and customer communications.
  • Assist Associate FST and FST employees with complex customer problems.
  • Manage customer equipment needs during and after warranty periods.
  • Resolve customer problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Sell contracts, updates/upgrades, and parts in assigned territory.
  • Calls on customers prior to warranty or contract termination date.
  • Makes cold calls to pursue the sale of service contracts.
  • Schedules regular site visits with customers to provide timely and accurate equipment service.
  • Assists with collection of outstanding receivables.
  • Perform administrative duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Associates degree in a technical field, military training, or equivalent with 1-5 years of experience.
  • Basic knowledge of pneumatics and strong mechanical skills.
  • Computer literacy on Microsoft office products.
  • Knowledge of PC hardware repair.
  • Basic knowledge of undercar automotive operations.
  • Knowledge of all products serviced by Snap-on Inc. and internal procedures.
  • Ability to lift 45lbs and work in an environment with frequent walking, standing, bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting, and sitting while driving.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with customers on a direct basis.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to work from home as a self-starter.
