Director of Housekeeping - Luxury Resort

The Director of Housekeeping will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Housekeeping department, ensuring that all areas of the resort meet the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement long-term strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Housekeeping department.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the resort to ensure compliance with cleanliness and maintenance standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance communication and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage the maintenance and upkeep of all equipment and supplies.
  • Oversee the financial performance of the department, including budgeting and forecasting.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of housekeeping staff.
  • Ensure seamless integration of contract employees and maintain effective employee relations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field preferred.
  • Minimum three years of experience in housekeeping within a luxury hotel environment.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to supervise and motivate staff, including assignment of duties and disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to prepare and analyze data.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping service techniques and cost controls.
