Inventory Control Specialist

We are seeking an Inventory Control Specialist to support key functions, including requisitioning, receiving, and inventory control, using state-of-the-art systems, audits, and other offline tools. This role will assist the Maintenance department by following established procedures and best practices related to requisitioning goods/services, receiving, inventory control, and tracking preventative maintenance activities at our Northwest Packing plant in Vancouver, WA.
A key aspect of this position is ensuring that requisitions are created and approved in a timely manner, while also communicating issues related to receiving, damaged goods, and inventory discrepancies to the Purchasing and Maintenance teams. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills and be able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create requisitions and work with the Purchasing and Maintenance teams to ensure timely delivery of goods and services
- Perform inspections and receiving of incoming goods, ensuring that physical inspections are performed and 3-way match protocols are followed
- Assist in the rollout of new inventory control and performance maintenance systems, supporting the organization and cataloging of inventory in the tool room and other MRO supplies
- Generate work orders and assist mechanics in generating work orders as needed, performing follow-up activities related to work order completion
- Maintain the plant maintenance database (AMMS), including vendor files, spare parts data, inventories, and equipment histories
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in business, supply chain, or a related field preferred
- 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Strong computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, inventory management software, and knowledge of day-to-day operations in a food processing facility
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, background check, and work extended hours and weekends during peak periods
Salary: $23,000 - $26,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
