Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Program Supervisor to join our team at St. John's Community Services. As a Program Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our low barrier shelter, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to our participants, and supervising a team of Client Care Specialists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the day-to-day operation of the low barrier shelter, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and local regulations.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of Client Care Specialists, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison with community providers, case managers, government agencies, and other stakeholders to facilitate the coordination of services and support for our participants.
  • Ensure the shelter meets the required standards, including cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate and prepare transition plans, ensuring a smooth transition for participants.
  • Prepare and review reports, documents, and other materials as required.
  • Train and evaluate staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure staff compliance with program practices and procedures, including quality care and personal needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or concerns that arise, working collaboratively with the team and stakeholders.
  • Attend and participate in relevant agency events, workshops, training, and meetings.
  • Provide coverage when needed, including 24/7 on-call coverage for assigned locations.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Human Services, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of direct experience working with vulnerable populations.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of administrative experience, including supervision of staff.
  • Meet SJCS and funding jurisdiction requirements for criminal background and records checks.
  • Lived experience is highly preferred.
  • A valid health certificate to meet current funding jurisdiction requirements is required.
