Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, knowledge of troubleshooting various heavy equipment product lines, and be willing to travel on a 10/4 rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor performance of heavy construction type equipment, such as bulldozers, loaders, skid steers, excavators, marsh buggies, forklifts, shovels, etc.
- Learn and follow safety regulations.
- Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.
- Coordinate machine actions with other activities, positioning or moving loads in response to hand or audio signals from crew members.
- Align machines, cutter heads, or depth gauge makers with reference stakes and guidelines or ground or position equipment, following hand signals of other workers.
- Load and move dirt, rocks, equipment, or other materials, using loaders, excavators, skid steers, shovels, and/or other types of equipment.
- Perform specialized work, using equipment, such as pile drivers, dredging rigs, drillers, or concrete pumpers.
- Load/unload trucks that require lifting 50 to 75 pounds.
- Responsible for housekeeping in the equipment, facility, and job site.
- Help the field labor team as needed.
