Job Summary

The Fabricator will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components for various construction projects, including subsurface and pole-setting work. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to fabricate metal parts and structures.
  • Cut, weld, and shape metal materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) using tools such as saws, oxy fuel torch, manual plasma cutter and other welding equipment.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure parts are fabricated to exact project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and construction teams to ensure proper fitting and assembly of fabricated parts on job sites.
  • Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA standards during fabrication and site installation.
  • Work with other team members to troubleshoot issues and suggest improvements to fabrication processes.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in metal fabrication, welding, and operating fabrication machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  • Strong understanding of various welding techniques (SMAW, FCAW, GMAW).
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and procedures in a fabrication environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Certification in welding or metal fabrication is a plus.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for long periods.
