Key Responsibilities
  1. Data Governance
  • Oversee critical data elements (CDEs) within assigned Data Domains and enterprise-wide coordination of Data Domain-related activities.
  • Define and validate business-critical processes and associated CDEs that support them.
Data Quality
  • Define Data Quality rules and standards for corresponding Business Unit or Corporate Group.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with Data Quality Lead and team, Data Quality Issues Management Group, and Data Domain Working Group to align Data Quality rules and standards.
Metadata Management
  • Onboard new CDEs and business metadata.
  • Update central metadata repository with business metadata content.
Data Privacy, Security, Retention, and Archiving
  • Define Data Privacy rules and align them with the Enterprise Privacy Policy.
  • Define archiving, retention, and data destruction requirements for CDEs.
Data Sharing, Access Control, and Data Transfer
  • Define Data Privacy rules and align them with the Enterprise Privacy Policy.
  • Monitor data security for data elements.
Requirements
  1. Equivalent combination of advanced education and related experience.
  2. Ability to translate enterprise-level strategic planning information into software and data management needs.
  3. Executive-level communications skills.
  4. Significant knowledge of current and emerging application software products and tools.
  5. Extensive project management experience.
  6. Strong analytical and architectural skills.
  7. Ability to manage a high volume of internal client relationships.
  8. Knowledge of all phases of software engineering life cycle and experience with process improvement models.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a financial institution with a focus on financial crimes prevention.
  2. Extensive knowledge of Data and Analytics, including emerging trends.
  3. Strong understanding of banking operations, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Project management experience and proficiency in managing budgets.
  6. Familiarity with machine learning, data analytics, and artificial intelligence in financial institutions.
  7. Banking or financial services experience, especially in a particular niche area.
