We are seeking a highly skilled Building Inspector to join our team at Charles Abbott Associates, Inc. (CAA). As a Building Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting field inspections of private and public construction projects to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting field inspections of construction projects to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations.
- Issuing notices to comply on violations and maintaining records of inspection findings.
- Assisting with plan check and providing technical support to clients.
- Maintaining files and reports regarding inspection and plan check activities.
Requirements:
- Experience in structural building inspection and/or residential combination inspection.
- Knowledge of building-related national building codes, general zoning and land use laws, and general grading practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
