About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team at Westwood Professional Services, Inc. As a key member of our transportation infrastructure team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of bridge projects, working closely with our clients and stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of bridge projects, including structural design, specifications, and plans.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure successful project delivery, including geotechnical investigation, hydrology and hydraulics, environment reports and permitting, survey and roadway design.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Communicate project details with clients, agencies, and the public.
  • Mentor and train junior engineers and technical staff.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering from an ABET accredited college.
  • Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in Wisconsin (or capable of obtaining within 6 months).
  • 5+ years of bridge engineering work experience.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiar with WisDOT Bridge Manual and Facilities Development Manual.
  • Familiar with AASHTO LRFD design code.
  • Working knowledge of Microstation or AutoCAD.
  • Proficient with bridge engineering software, such as Leap Bridge, Eriksson or similar.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
