Transportation Mechanic II

The Transportation Mechanic II is a skilled professional responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance functions and repairs on trailers, including minor repairs to trailer refrigeration power units. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex issues with trailers, including refrigeration systems, brake systems, and electrical diagnostics
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
- Collaborate with other mechanics to ensure efficient and effective repair processes
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices through ongoing training and education
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-4 years of experience in diesel repair, tractor-trailer repair, and refrigeration maintenance and repair
- ASE certification in Medium/Heavy Truck Preventative Maintenance Inspection (PMI) and International Maxx Force 13 Engines
- Certification in Transportation Refrigeration, brake systems, and components
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- CDL-A license
- Trade school graduate in heavy-duty diesel repairs and/or refrigeration classes
- ASE certification in heavy-duty mechanics and Cummins or Detroit certification
- Competitive pay rate: $25.50 per hour
