Lead Behavioral Technician

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Lead Behavioral Technician is tasked with delivering developmental and growth-oriented support to children in care, both on an individual basis and in group settings. This position involves overseeing and nurturing children in residence, reporting directly to the house Behaviorist, and ensuring the effective execution of programs. In collaboration with the Behavioral Assistant, the Lead Behavioral Technician is pivotal in maintaining procedural adherence and providing outstanding service to residents and their families.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Execute Positive Behavior Support strategies and apply behavioral reinforcements.
  • Engage therapeutically with residents and their families.
  • Effectively implement treatment interventions.
  • Supervise daily operations and manage staffing assignments.
  • Guarantee the execution of residents' treatment plans.
  • Mentor Behavioral Technicians on ABA methodologies.
  • Launch new initiatives for the designated house.
  • Encourage the professional growth of staff members.
  • Provide therapeutic insights regarding residents.
  • Transport residents to scheduled appointments as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication among staff to ensure treatment consistency.
  • Complete documentation and protocols in line with established standards.
  • Maintain certifications in PMT, First Aid, and CPR.
  • Perform additional assigned tasks as required.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess a minimum of two years of experience in the human services sector, with a preference for those knowledgeable in ASD. A degree in human services is preferred, although candidates with an associate's degree in Human Services may also be eligible. Completion of agency training requirements is essential.
