We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to fulfill the role of Staff Accountant. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid grasp of accounting fundamentals.

The primary responsibilities of this position include managing various accounting functions such as: maintaining the general ledger, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and assisting with the month-end closing process. Additional tasks will encompass: creating journal entries, overseeing banking operations, and conducting financial analyses. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monthly closure of the general ledger and generation of relevant financial reports
  • Conducting monthly bank account reconciliations
  • Recording and verifying general journal entries
  • Managing inventory reconciliations and necessary adjustments
  • Processing payments through banking platforms
  • Supporting accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
  • Filing sales and use tax returns
  • Reconciling credit card balances on a monthly basis
  • Handling inter-company transactions
  • Performing various financial analyses
  • Conducting variance analysis
  • Assisting with internal management reporting
  • Providing support during audits
  • Addressing ad hoc financial requests
Qualifications:
  • Ability to adapt, dependability, and capacity to handle multiple tasks
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Proficient understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and accounting software
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong prioritization skills
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively
  • Self-motivated with integrity and honesty
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities to identify and rectify financial discrepancies
  • Solid technical accounting skills
  • Knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
