Job Summary

Houston Methodist seeks a seasoned professional to lead its donor relations and stewardship efforts. As Chief Donor Relations and Stewardship Officer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing policies, procedures, and activities that foster strong relationships with donors and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and direct a team of professionals in communications, stewardship, events, donor recognition, and physician/faculty engagement.
  • Develop and implement best practices for donor relations and stewardship, including donor recognition, giving levels, and endowment management.
  • Recruit and manage teams of professionals to manage these functions.
  • Serve as a member of the Foundation's Senior Leadership Team and provide strategic vision for the overall direction of the Foundation.
  • Engage and manage volunteer committees as needed.
  • Oversee department operations, including budget development, compliance, and staffing decisions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in donor relations, with 5 years of experience leading teams.
  • Experience in an academic medical center or large university setting preferred.
