Position Overview:

TAYS is on the lookout for an Analytics Specialist to become a key member of our Data Analytics team. The Analytics Specialist will be instrumental in extracting, cleansing, and analyzing extensive datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and correlations. By employing advanced analytical methods and statistical techniques, you will interpret complex data and deliver valuable insights. This role includes the development and implementation of predictive models and algorithms to support decision-making processes.

This is a permanent, W2 role with a hybrid work schedule. Candidates must reside within a reasonable distance from our operational hub.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Analysis: Extract, cleanse, and analyze extensive datasets to identify patterns, trends, and correlations.
  • Utilize statistical methods and advanced analytics to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
  • Familiarity with SaaS: Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) platforms for data analytics, machine learning model deployment, and data management, focusing on cloud-based tools to enhance workflow efficiency.
  • Data Integration: Construct files to merge case data from various sources and systems with differing granularities and unique identifiers.
  • Predictive Modeling: Create and implement predictive models and algorithms using machine learning techniques. Apply data mining, statistical modeling, and optimization algorithms to address business challenges and enhance processes.
  • Forecasting: Predict outcomes such as whether a case will result in affirmance/dismissal or remand/reversal; and further predict the nature of remands.
  • Data Visualization: Effectively communicate findings and insights through visualizations, reports, and presentations. Present complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborative Problem Solving: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business goals and define analytical needs. Work alongside data engineers and software developers to ensure seamless integration of data science solutions.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay informed about the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling techniques. Explore and assess new tools and technologies to improve data analysis and predictive modeling effectiveness.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Experience with data manipulation, statistical analysis, and machine learning libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, SciPy, scikit-learn).
  • Familiarity with SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and big data frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Experience in experimental design, hypothesis testing, and statistical modeling.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
  • A Ph.D. in a relevant field is advantageous.
  • An active Public Trust or higher clearance is preferred.
