Traffic Management Specialist

At AWP Safety, we are seeking a motivated individual to fill the role of Traffic Control Flagger. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safety of workers and motorists on construction sites.
Job OverviewThis is an entry-level position that requires minimal education but offers excellent opportunities for growth and advancement within our company. With competitive pay rates ranging from $16.48 to $17.28 per hour, depending on experience, you will have the chance to develop valuable skills and contribute to the success of our organization.
We offer comprehensive training programs, including ATSSA certification and defensive driving courses, to ensure you are equipped with the knowledge and expertise needed to excel in this role. Our commitment to employee development extends beyond initial training, with opportunities for advancement to senior positions such as Lead Protector, Field Supervisor, or Manager.
As a Traffic Control Flagger, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Setting up and maintaining safe work zones using proper equipment.
- Collaborating with colleagues to guarantee the safety of all individuals present at the site.
- Effectively managing traffic flow using stop/slow paddles.
- Providing exceptional service and protection to our clients.
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following qualifications:
- A valid driver's license is mandatory.
- The ability to stand for 8-12 hours daily and lift 50-60 pounds is essential.
- A willingness to work in various weather conditions and traffic settings is required.
- Previous driving experience is desirable.
- Applicants must pass pre-employment screenings, including a drug test, as this role is considered safety-sensitive.
