Job Description
Job Summary
Decker Transportation is seeking an experienced CDL-A truck driver to join our team as an Over-the-Road (OTR) Reefer driver. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for hauling refrigerated freight across the country, averaging 1,900 to 2,300 miles per week.

Key Responsibilities
• Operate a 53 ft. reefer trailer, pulling refrigerated freight across the country
• Travel east of the Rockies, with occasional drops in the Northeast
• Average 1,900 to 2,300 miles per week, with 21 days out and 5 days home
• Meet minimum pay criteria, including no load refusals, on-time delivery, and no CSA violations

Compensation and Benefits
• Competitive pay, with a minimum guarantee of $1,000 per week
• Pay increases of $.01 at 90 days, then $.01 increase annually on anniversary date until cap of $.70 cpm
• Monthly bonus of up to $.05 cpm per month, based on performance
• Per diem of $.10 cpm, included in pay rate
• Military pay increase of $.01 to $.02 cpm, based on verified service
• Trailer washout pay of $15 per trailer
• Stop pay of $15.00 per pickup and delivery, except load origin and final delivery
• Detention pay of $20/hour for on-time delivery detention, capped at $200 each 24 hour period
• Layover pay of $75 for 24 hours, then $100 for subsequent 24-hour periods
• Breakdown pay of $100 for 1st day, $150 for 2nd day, $200 for 3rd+ days
• Short haul pay of $.20 to $.02 cpm, based on miles

Equipment and Amenities
• Operate a 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, or 2024 Peterbilt 579, Volvo, or Freightliner Cascadia
• All trucks are governed at 65 mph, 68 mph on cruise control
• Trucks are equipped with APU, 1,800-watt Inverter, Free Wi-Fi, Smart TV with Satellite Programming, Microwave, Refrigerator, CB Radio, Satellite Radio Hook-ups

Orientation and Onboarding
• Orientation pay of $500 after completion of Orientation
• Orientation location in Fort Dodge, IA, with 3 days of training
• Traveling to Orientation, with rental vehicle, plane, or reimbursement for driving own vehicle

Requirements
• CDL-A license, with no load refusals
• 100% on-time delivery, with no driver service failures
• No CSA violations, with no preventable accidents
• Physical within the last 6 months, certified for 6 months or longer, and does not expire within the next 3 months
• Pre-employment urinalysis and hair follicle drug test prior to coming to Orientation

Training and Tuition Reimbursement
• 4 weeks of training, with 1 week in Orientation and 3 weeks with an OTR trainer
• $100 per day in Orientation and while with a trainer
• Tuition reimbursement up to $6,000
