About the Role

In this critical support position, you'll interact with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver top-notch care coordination. Your expertise in medical terminology, data management, and problem-solving will enable us to achieve our mission of delivering exceptional patient experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Registration: Gather and verify patient information accurately, update records as necessary.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Efficiently schedule appointments, follow-ups, and procedures while maintaining up-to-date calendars.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify insurance coverage and obtain pre-authorization for upcoming appointments.
  • Cash Handling: Process payments, reconcile the cash drawer daily, and address any discrepancies promptly.
  • Phone Calls and Messages: Respond promptly to patient inquiries via phone and patient portal.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain accurate records, monitor quality metrics, and suggest process improvements when necessary.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred.
  • Experience: At least 6 months of relevant experience in a medical setting.
  • Skills: Proficiency in medical terminology, strong organizational abilities, effective communication skills, and basic computer skills.
