About the Role

This is a senior practicing specialist position that requires certification by a Member Board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) in your specialty. You will work closely with other disciplines to ensure patients receive comprehensive care.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development or revision of medical policy and procedures.
  • Review lab work, specialty consults, hospital discharges, and diagnostic reports to assist the treatment team.
  • Discuss care with hospital or rehabilitation facility providers to ensure continuity of care.
  • Review and approve discharge summaries.
  • Communicate with team members and family members regarding medical issues.
  • Provide short-term urgently needed prescription renewals.
  • Function as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Requirements

To be eligible for this position, you must possess a license to practice medicine in New York State and certification by a Member Board of the ABMS in your specialty. Additionally, you must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively as part of a team.

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $166,000 - $230,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes paid holidays, vacation time, and sick leave. We also provide opportunities for professional development and education.
