Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Postdoctoral Appointee to join our Quantum Performance Laboratory team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in quantum computing and information science, with a demonstrated publication record or relevant experience. The postdoctoral researcher will work on cutting-edge research projects, including the development of new methods for assessing and improving the performance of quantum computers. The ideal candidate will have a strong research track record, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

The postdoctoral researcher will be responsible for:
  • Developing and implementing new methods for assessing and improving the performance of quantum computers
  • Collaborating with a team of researchers to develop and deploy cutting-edge techniques for quantum computing
  • Publishing research results in top-tier scientific journals
  • Presenting research findings at conferences and workshops

Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must have a PhD in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, or a related field, conferred within the past five years. A strong research track record, including publications in peer-reviewed journals, is highly desirable. The ideal candidate will also have experience with quantum computing and information science, as well as excellent communication and collaboration skills.

The Quantum Performance Laboratory is a multidisciplinary research and development group that focuses on developing and deploying cutting-edge techniques for assessing and improving the performance of quantum computing hardware. Our team is geographically dispersed, but highly collaborative, and we work closely with a wide range of partners in industry and academia to develop new performance assessment tools and apply them to newly developed quantum computing platforms.
