Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Appointee to join our team of quantum information scientists. As a Postdoctoral Appointee, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting research projects, collaborate with a diverse team of experts, and contribute to the development of new technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and development in quantum information and quantum sensing using ions trapped with micro-fabricated/chip-based devices.
  • Work with a team to test cutting-edge quantum information ideas in a laboratory setting.
  • Design systems able to perform delicate quantum experiments with maximum stability and flexibility.
Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in physics or engineering, with an emphasis on quantum systems, conferred within five years.
  • Experience with quantum information science, including ion trapping, neutral atom trapping, superconductors, semiconductors, impurities, and lasers.
  • Ability to obtain a DOE L security clearance.
