Staff Accountant Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team at Columbus House. The successful candidate will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including posting data to the general ledger, communicating processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and grant reporting requirements. You will work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

**Key Responsibilities:**
  • Post accounting data from various sources to the general ledger.
  • Document and communicate processes, monitoring performance to ensure compliance with GAAP and grant reporting requirements.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting fiscal reports, budgets, and related drawdowns/invoices to funders.
  • Calculate, record, and maintain drawdown documentation for federal programs.
  • Respond to auditor activities, providing information requested by auditors.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with a minimum of three years' relevant experience. Excellent organizational and time management skills, strong written and oral communication skills, and valid driver's license required. Experience using computerized accounting systems and expert knowledge of Excel & Access preferred.

**Compensation Package:**
  • $56,000-$58,000 per year based on experience.
