Job Summary:

The Night Auditor is responsible for the preparation and disposition of all Night Audit work. This includes front desk operation during the overnight shift (typically 11pm-7am). Primary responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Registering guests and making reservations
  • Preparing daily reports and balancing transactions
  • Conducting security walks and maintaining a secure environment
  • Handling guest requests and resolving issues
  • Initiating and completing the End of Day process
  • Running reports for Food and Beverage audit
  • Completing the Night Audit checklist for computer procedures daily
  • Maintaining cashiering responsibilities and Front Office computer system operation
  • Fulfilling all Front Office functions between 11:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
  • Following safety and emergency procedures
  • Maintaining proper record keeping and being familiar with all company policies and house rules
Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • College course work in a related field helpful
  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Knowledge of Accounting Principles
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems, company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
