Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Junior Help Desk Support to join our team in the DMV area. The successful candidate will provide initial technical assistance to customers seeking help via phone or email, use diagnostic techniques and relevant inquiries to perform remote troubleshooting, and guide customers through the problem-solving process.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to customers via phone or email
  • Perform remote troubleshooting using diagnostic techniques and relevant inquiries
  • Guide customers through the problem-solving process and escalate unresolved issues to higher levels of support if necessary
  • Provide accurate information about IT products or services, maintain detailed records of events and resolutions, update customer status and information, and relay customer feedback or suggestions to the appropriate internal team
  • Identify and propose potential improvements to procedures
  • Receives guidance from more senior personnel
Requirements
  • Possess High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Hold one of the following certifications within 6 months of commencing work: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP
Preferred Qualifications
  • Relevant industry standard certifications such as A+ or Security+
  • Experience with help desk systems such as Atlassian (Confluence/Jira) or ServiceNow
Clearance Requirements
  • This position requires an active TS/SCI w/ polygraph clearance
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Compensation and Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $39,800-$65,600. ManTech invests in its employees beyond just compensation.
