Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at International Paper. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the overall reliability and efficiency of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our production equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues to identify and resolve problems in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and prevent downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment failures and reduce downtime.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives to enhance overall process efficiency.
  • Participate in safety initiatives to ensure a safe working environment and comply with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall goals and objectives of the facilities maintenance team.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Mechanical Journeyman or Technical/Vocation Certificate preferred.
  • 5+ years of related experience working in a production environment, with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Proficiency in HVAC, PLC wiring, hydraulics, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work varied hours/days and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate with management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with conveyor systems and industrial automation equipment.
  • Knowledge of pipefitting and machine safety inspections procedures.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation

$37.84 per hour
