Position Overview

The Operations Manager will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the Acetylene Plant, overseeing all aspects from production to distribution while ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement processes that enhance stewardship, safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Plan, organize, and direct daily operations to consistently exceed customer expectations.
  • Oversee production output, ensuring product quality and timely shipping.
  • Monitor operational performance and initiate corrective actions as necessary.
  • Manage safety initiatives to protect employees and the public, identifying and addressing unsafe conditions.
  • Adhere to established quality control procedures to guarantee product integrity and purity.
  • Continuously seek improvements to enhance employee and organizational performance.
  • Provide necessary training and educational resources to staff.
  • Achieve proficiency in order to maximize productivity and quality standards.
  • Understand and apply Human Resources principles related to hiring, performance reviews, terminations, promotions, and staff motivation.
  • Foster a trusting relationship within the team, recruiting, managing, and developing plant personnel.
  • Repair or replace plant equipment as required.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrated managerial experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Strong dedication to safety practices.
  • Previous maintenance experience is advantageous.
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to foster accountability and lead by example.
  • Proficient in team building, decision-making, and personnel management.
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Computer literacy is essential.
  • Physical ability to lift or roll 75 lbs. cylinders.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work extended shifts and/or weekends.
Compensation and Benefits

Anticipated Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
Bonus Eligibility: Yes
