Factory Automation Integration Specialist

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. We're seeking a highly skilled Factory Automation Integration Specialist to join our team. This role will play a critical part in the integration of new automated equipment into our manufacturing ecosystem, ensuring seamless operations and efficient production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the integration of new automated equipment into the manufacturing ecosystem
  • Electrical system modification of industrial control and safety systems
  • Debug and modification of PLC and Robot programs
  • Support the commissioning of SCADA applications
  • Production support function for sophisticated manufacturing equipment

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience with common automation control systems
  • 3+ years of experience with controls and automation software development environments
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret and review electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Strong skills for design and process simplification
  • Ability to communicate optimally, clearly, and with humility to partners
  • Understanding of world-class quality, attention to detail, and dedication
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Electrical, Controls, or other relevant engineering field
  • Familiarity with various control system and equipment safety standards
  • Experience with writing and developing software in a high-level language
  • Experience with NC programming of automated systems
  • Excellent technical writing, grammar, and presentation experience
  • Experience with electrical verification of machines
  • Experience in defining, implementing, and maintaining controls code from source control
