Position: Assistant Clinical Director

As the Assistant Clinical Director, you will collaborate closely with the Clinical Director and/or Regional Clinical Director to deliver strong leadership to clinical staff. This role supports the Clinical Director in the development of clinical programs and ensures high performance by offering clinical guidance, direction, training, assessment, and feedback to all clinical team members to meet the needs of our clients.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant behavioral science or mental health discipline.
  • Current and unrestricted independent clinical license in the state of employment.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in behavioral healthcare.
  • At least three (3) years of clinical leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Proven knowledge of effective supervision and leadership methodologies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and oversee the activities of others, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Valid driver's license in good standing and insurable by the designated carrier.
  • CPR Certification – updated as required.
  • Must possess a current valid driver's license in good standing and be insurable for company-related driving.
  • Localized travel up to 20% may be necessary.
  • MANDT/CPI Certification – updated as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of dedicated professionals through hiring, scheduling, orientation, training, and performance evaluation to achieve departmental objectives and ensure smooth operations.
  • Conduct both clinical and administrative supervision for assigned clinical staff as per professional licensing requirements.
  • Provide clinical consultation and oversee case planning and care coordination.
  • Support and instruct the clinical team to ensure a thorough understanding of the treatment program and service delivery expectations based on individual treatment plans.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices by reviewing and auditing documentation for quality and completeness, organizing case presentations, and providing constructive feedback to clinical staff.
  • Regularly review caseloads to ensure optimal utilization of services.
  • Manage a limited caseload as assigned.
  • Assist the clinical team in delivering clinical services when necessary (individual/group sessions, biopsychosocial assessments, treatment plans, etc.).
  • Ensure all clinical staff conduct individual and group sessions with clients and document all interactions in the medical record.
  • Review and sign off on clinical documentation to ensure thoroughness and compliance with professional standards.
  • Engage in regular meetings and training sessions with the team to maintain consistent communication and practices.
