About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Customer Service Assistant/Driver Helper to join our team at Gate Gourmet in SFO. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our catering and provisioning services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Customer Service Representatives in catering aircraft, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of meals and supplies.
  • Guide Customer Service Representatives to aircraft safely and accurately, adhering to customer guidelines and safety regulations.
  • Conduct quality checks on all assigned flights, ensuring compliance with customer standards.
  • Add or subtract meals for assigned flights, as required.
  • Perform pre-trip truck inspections, as directed.
Requirements
  • Work assigned schedule, which may vary and include weekends and holidays.
  • Work overtime when required.
  • Arrive to work on-time.
  • Comply with Company Policies.
  • Complete paperwork and related administrative duties.
Work Environment
  • Exposure to extreme temperature changes and noise.
  • Majority of duties performed outside in all weather conditions.
  • Lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment, and supplies up to 50 pounds frequently during shifts.
  • Regularly stand, bend, lift, and move intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
  • Work at heights up to 25 feet or more, depending on aircraft.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Up to one-year experience preferred.
  • Current U.S. driver's license.

Please note that our workforce needs to remain flexible in your shifts and days off, as your schedule may fluctuate during peak seasons to meet production needs, requirements of the industry, or to accommodate a shift bid in accordance with the Union contract.

Dues and Initiation Fees are taken the first Thursday of the month, after the required probation period.
