Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to finalize design specifications and secure necessary permits and approvals.
  • Create thorough project plans that delineate key milestones, resource distribution, and risk management approaches.
  • Project Implementation and Oversight:
  • Supervise all facets of construction, ensuring compliance with project plans, timelines, and financial parameters.

  • Compile and present financial summaries to senior management and clients.
  • Scheduling and Timeline Coordination:

  • Identify potential delays and implement corrective measures to keep the project on schedule.
  • Coordinate material deliveries, labor timelines, and equipment requirements to align with project schedules.
  • Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure all construction activities meet or surpass industry standards, project specifications, and client expectations.
  • Implement and uphold safety protocols to guarantee a secure working environment for all personnel on-site.
  • Ensure compliance with all pertinent building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Act as the primary liaison for clients, maintaining consistent communication to provide project updates and address any concerns.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure that all project deliverables align with their requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other consultants to resolve design and construction challenges.
  • Risk Assessment and Conflict Resolution:
  • Identify potential project risks and develop strategies to mitigate their impact.
  • Address any issues or disputes that arise during construction, including technical challenges and conflicts with subcontractors.
  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate, current, and properly organized.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Guide and inspire project teams, including project engineers, superintendents, and subcontractors.
  • Provide mentorship and support to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work atmosphere.
  • Conduct performance assessments and offer feedback to enhance team performance.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5-7 years in commercial construction project management.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale construction projects from initiation to completion.
  • Exceptional project management capabilities, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is advantageous. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification is preferred.
