Job Overview

Veterinary Emergency Physician plays a critical role at Optigy, providing emergency care to animals in need. As a skilled veterinarian, you will be responsible for triaging patients, performing physical exams, and developing treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consultations: Answer medical questions over the phone.
  • Triage & Treatment: See patients immediately as part of the veterinary emergency triage process.
  • Diagnostics: Perform physical exams and necessary tests (e.g., ultrasounds, x-rays, bloodwork, biopsies).
  • Diagnosis & Treatment Plans: Develop and communicate diagnostic and therapeutic plans to clients.
  • Estimates & Records: Prepare and present treatment estimates and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Surgical Procedures: Perform minor and major emergency surgeries.
  • Client Education: Educate clients on aftercare and preventative measures as needed.
