Medical Technologist PRN

We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist PRN to join our team at Fairview Park Hospital. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing accurate and timely laboratory results to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including blood banking, chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, and microbiology.
- Operate and maintain complex laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers and microscopes.
- Interpret test results and report them to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development to stay current with advances in laboratory technology and techniques.
- Current registration as a Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist by ASCP.
- BS in Medical Technology or Baccalaureate degree plus completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technology program.
- Experience in a hospital laboratory setting preferred.
