Position: Automation Quality Assurance Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing, executing, and maintaining automated testing scripts utilizing tools such as Selenium and Cucumber for API testing.
  • Enhancing existing automation frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and broaden coverage.
  • Expertise in both front-end and back-end testing methodologies.
  • Integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery initiatives.
  • Staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in test automation to refine testing processes.
  • Formulating Quality Management plans and testing strategies for each development cycle, reviewing test documentation, and conducting peer evaluations of test plans and cases.
  • Collaborating with product stakeholders to ensure alignment with business requirements and the development of test cases that meet quality standards for both manual and automated testing.
  • Maintaining Quality Assurance tools with updated requirement traceability, test cases, and defect management, while providing status updates in QA review reports.
  • Conducting hands-on testing for user stories, including Smoke, Functional Integration, and Regression testing, and documenting defects.
  • Working closely with development teams to facilitate defect resolution and leading discussions on defect reviews.
  • Assisting with Non-functional Quality Assurance phases, including Performance, Security, and Accessibility testing.
  • Offering guidance on Quality Assurance strategies, proactive governance, and risk management to ensure high-quality delivery of applications.
  • Engaging in continuous self-improvement and training initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4 years of comprehensive experience in testing execution and oversight.
  • Proficient in testing Web-based and Mobile applications, with a solid understanding of J2EE application testing.
  • Experience in testing RESTful microservices deployed in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud database technologies and concepts, including NoSQL (DynamoDB, Aurora), caching solutions (ElastiCache), and SQL for relational databases.
Technical Expertise:
  • Strong grasp of test automation methodologies, tools, and processes, including Selenium, TestNG, JMeter, FitNesse, Postman, SoapUI, Protractor, Cucumber, and TypeScript.
  • Experience with various software development methodologies (e.g., Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid) and project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, MIRO).
  • Proficient in ETL tools (e.g., DataStage, Informatica) for data sourcing, transformation, and validation.
  • Expertise in REST API automation.
  • Knowledge of Unix systems and scripting languages.
  • Ability to create and execute efficient, maintainable test scripts.
  • Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline integration.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and technologies (e.g., Lambda, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Glue, Athena, Parquet file format).
