Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and direct comprehensive automation initiatives, covering all phases from scoping and planning to execution, monitoring, and successful completion within established timelines and financial parameters.
  • Manage the technical, financial, and scheduling aspects of assigned tasks or functions.
  • Exhibit strong, proactive leadership skills that motivate multidisciplinary teams to meet business requirements for assigned projects.
  • Guide project team members, including executives, subject matter experts, and schedulers, throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the Automation program by providing training, mentorship, and instructional resources to enhance the automation team's adherence to best practices and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct requirement analysis, application interaction assessments, and provide support for system integration testing, automation monitoring, and logging.
  • Develop project management plans, establish expectations, conduct governance reviews, and ensure adherence to organizational protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, goals, and deliverables.
  • Ensure that requirements are accurately gathered, documented, reviewed, and approved according to organizational standards.
  • Work with the designated scheduler to create a comprehensive work breakdown structure outlining all activities necessary for project deliverables.
  • Oversee project budgets, maintain financial plans, track actual versus planned expenditures, and provide monthly forecasts and accrual reports.
  • Deliver high-quality, informative written and verbal communications regarding project status, including weekly updates and dashboards.
  • Continuously monitor, track, and manage project tasks, timelines, milestone achievements, and the overall quality of project outputs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Minimum of 6 years of robust Project Management experience.
  • Prior experience with automation projects is essential.
  • Extensive experience in managing project financials, schedules, scope, and testing, complemented by strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of Project Management principles and practices.
  • Ability to cultivate and sustain relationships, partnerships, and external networks.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision while effectively collaborating within a team environment.
  • Exceptional customer-facing skills.
  • Strong research, decision-making, and organizational abilities are essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project or similar project management tools.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to data protection guidelines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the utility sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet is a plus.
  • PMP certification is preferred.
