Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Student Center Support Team Lead to join our team at Cornell University. As a key member of our Residential and Event Services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to students, staff, and faculty in our Student Centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide front-line service to students, staff, and faculty, answering questions and facilitating meeting, seminar, and conference needs.
  • Assist in providing day-to-day guidance, coordination, and training to the support team.
  • Help organize, maintain, and distribute supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Leverage sound audiovisual troubleshooting skills to ensure client technologies are consistently met.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changing schedules, shifts, locations, and daily tasks.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of demonstrated custodial and leadership experience.
  • Previous experience performing event setups and demonstrated proficiency in audiovisual support.
  • Basic computer knowledge and troubleshooting experience.
  • Valid NY State driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and previous experience working in a Student Center, Event Center, and/or Conference Center operation.
  • Knowledge and exposure to a room scheduling software (i.e. R25 preferred).
