This role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities aimed at supporting the growth, service objectives, and profitability for Field Sales within a branch, while also serving as a key provider of Member Services.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver professional customer service to members and existing insureds. Provide comprehensive service and information to members regarding their memberships and insurance products.
Maintain and update member information in the POS system, making necessary adjustments to contact details and other updates as required.
Identify opportunities for cross-selling based on members' product needs and service requirements. Strengthen member relationships by diversifying the use of products and services, including automotive, financial products, and travel-related materials. Generate leads for insurance, life, travel, and other departments as appropriate. Meet established cross-sell goals.Assist walk-in and telephone members seeking insurance services. Facilitate the sale of memberships and assist in the sale of insurance to prospective insureds.
Support members with modifications to existing policies or memberships, including upgrades to higher-value memberships, renewals, and billing inquiries.
Verify insurance coverage for lien holders and leasing companies, and provide binders as requested.Offer maps, TourBooks, and other travel-related materials. Prepare TripTiks and International Driving Permits (IDPs). Fulfill requests for passport photos, travel routings, and publications. May assist with car and hotel reservations.
Order and maintain all insurance compliance reports and records.
Resolve member and insured-related issues, referring more complex matters to the appropriate level of authority.
Process payments for memberships, bookstore items, insurance, and travel products. Upgrade basic memberships to higher-value options (AAA+ or Premier) as appropriate. Balance cash drawer.
As a Notary Public, process Notary transactions for members in accordance with National Notary Association and Club procedures. Maintain knowledge and Notary commission.
Conduct new business policy accuracy reviews and submit to underwriting.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
It is essential to accurately determine if proper documentation is provided by members to ensure compliance with all policies and procedures for proper notarization.
Decisions are primarily focused on how to best serve the member. The position involves analyzing member requests and determining the most suitable service recommendations/actions.Qualifications
High School GED Required
4-6 years of experience in Branch member sales, service & operations or related fields Preferred
Moderate knowledge of AAA products and services in areas such as insurance, travel counseling, publications, maps, and routing preferred.
Moderate proficiency in data entry required. Moderate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. Advanced customer service skills preferred.
Moderate knowledge of Club systems, including but not limited to: POS, MACS, VIEWPOINT, EICS, TRAVEL PORTAL, KRONOS, HUON, LEXUS/NEXUS preferred.
Notary Public - National Notary Association RequiredProperty and Casualty Insurance License, valid in selling state - Issued by State Required
