Job Title: Site Coordinator

Reports to: Senior Manager Customer Support

Classification: Non-Exempt

This position serves as the primary point of contact between customers, management, and on-site service personnel for installation, maintenance, repair, testing, and customer training issues. The Site Coordinator takes ownership of issues and drives them to resolution in a timely manner, operating independently and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage customer activities, supervise, coordinate, schedule, train, motivate, and guide other Fields Service Engineers.
  2. Work on complex planning activities and special projects where customer equipment performance is critical to contractual obligations and project deadlines.
  3. Assist Customer Support Management and Regional Sales Managers by understanding and communicating customer initiatives and ensuring timely closure of customer requirements.
  4. Instruct customers on the complete operation and maintenance of equipment, including identifying and repairing equipment-related process problems.
  5. Participate in internal meetings to facilitate the coordination of important issues, including spare parts, warranty, and daily/weekly priorities.
  6. Retrieve, compile, and report equipment performance indicators to both customer and company Management.
  7. Keep Management informed of all tool down situations.
  8. Present and implement EVG technologies and solutions to customers.
  9. Coordinate technical resources to track and close customer issues.
  10. Present and explain reports, results, and solutions to customers.
  11. Solve performance/operational issues to improve customer efficiency.
  12. Assist in recruiting potential employees for customer site.
  13. Promote continuous improvement in both staff and technical areas.
  14. Oversee a robust Project Management process and delivery timetables to keep projects on schedule.
  15. Organize and manage projects and tasks while consulting with Management to ensure company objectives are met.
  16. Travel domestically and internationally overnight, as needed, up to 30% of the time.
  17. Operate EVG hired vehicles on EVG business, requiring a valid driver's license and acceptable driving privileges.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and deliver related training, measuring, and recording performance progress.
  2. Submit all required paperwork on a timely routine basis.
  3. Maintain all assigned equipment logs and records promptly and thoroughly.
  4. Exhibit good housekeeping practices in all work areas.

Qualifications:

  1. Requires a Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline or related field and a minimum of four (4) years of direct experience with EVG equipment or working in a high-volume manufacturing environment or a minimum of six (6) years of experience with capital equipment/facilities engineering, or field operations within the MEMS or Semiconductor industries.
  2. Proven background in management/supervision or the ability to demonstrate supervisory skills in leading the efforts of technical service personnel.
  3. Excellent customer skillset, including communication, priority setting, influencing, and conflict resolution.
  4. Self-driven with the ability to prioritize work and accomplish tasks quickly with good problem-solving skills.
  5. Must be detail-oriented.
  6. Solid written and verbal communication for expressing technical ideas and initiatives.

Physical Demands:

  1. While performing duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to stand, sit, reach with hand and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift/move up to 50 pounds. Visual acuity is required. The individual is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls frequently and be able to reach with hand and arms above shoulder level occasionally.
  2. Ability to wear proper cleanroom attire and work inside the fab/cleanroom up to 75% of the time.
