Job Overview

Position Summary

The role involves executing welding tasks across a spectrum of projects, from light assembly to substantial structural welding. The individual will ensure that all welds conform to established product specifications and quality benchmarks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize blueprints to accurately measure and position metal components for welding tasks.
  • Operate various power tools, including saws, grinders, drills, and welding equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in MIG welding is preferred; relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting job specifications, work instructions, and blueprints.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to apply good shop math, including fractions and decimals.
  • Capable of using standard measuring instruments effectively.
  • Experience operating grinders, ironworkers, and torches.
  • Ability to stand on hard surfaces for extended periods in varying temperature conditions.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and visual acuity.
  • Physical capability to climb, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and maintain a reliable attendance record.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
