The Dining Assistant at The Claiborne at Brickyard Crossing plays a vital role in supporting the dining services team, ensuring that residents enjoy exceptional meals and dining experiences.

This position is a full-time, hourly role within the healthcare sector.

The Dining Assistant will collaborate closely with the dining services team to deliver outstanding service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in meal preparation and serving in accordance with standardized recipes and portion control guidelines.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of food items in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and safe dining environment, including clearing and sanitizing tables, washing dishes, and restocking supplies.
  • Support residents with special dietary needs and restrictions as directed by the dining services director.
  • Provide attentive and friendly service to residents, promptly addressing their requests and needs.
  • Engage in training and educational opportunities to enhance dining service skills and knowledge.
  • Communicate effectively and positively with residents, their families, and fellow team members.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of food preparation and sanitation standards.
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and compassionate demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be capable of standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing physically demanding tasks.
  • Flexibility to work various hours, including weekends and holidays.
