Job Summary

The Medical Technologist plays a vital role in the laboratory, assisting professional staff in conducting, evaluating, and documenting tests of blood and other specimens. This position requires a strong understanding of laboratory protocols and the ability to meet established medical and laboratory standards.

Requirements

A Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical laboratory, chemical, physical or biological science is required, along with at least two years' experience in a role equivalent to that of a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in a clinical laboratory. An Associates Degree in chemical, physical or biological science or medical laboratory or equivalent education and training may also be considered. ASCP or other appropriate licensing agency is preferred.

Work Environment

This position is based in the laboratory department and requires flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, 6:00 pm to 2:00 am, and 10:00 pm to 6:00 am. The work schedule is 40 hours per week.
