Logistics Warehouse Specialist

Dynavac is seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate - Receiver to join our dynamic Warehouse Team. This role is crucial for ensuring the seamless flow of materials within our operations.

The primary focus of this position is on receiving goods, but it also encompasses various warehouse responsibilities such as shipping, kitting, and managing inventory transactions. The ideal candidate will possess the initiative and skills necessary to effectively collaborate with all levels of management and contribute positively to the team.

At Dynavac, we specialize in manufacturing custom high vacuum process capital equipment for satellite testing and thin film coatings. Key Responsibilities

• Support all warehouse functions and related projects.
• Prioritize quality and safety in all tasks.
• Receive and document materials and goods both physically and in our ERP system.
• Accurately store received materials and goods.
• Pick orders and deliver them to internal customers.
• Conduct inventory transactions and validations.
• Prepare kits for project orders.
• Perform cycle counting and participate in annual physical inventory.
• Resolve inventory discrepancies within the ERP system.
• Generate daily reports and assist with actionable outputs.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Complete other assigned duties as necessary.

Required Competencies

• Strong organizational skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to operate a forklift (certification provided).
• Capacity to lift up to 25 pounds and more, with material handling equipment available.
• Team-oriented and hands-on approach.
• Excellent mathematical abilities.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or High School Diploma with relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning software (experience with Epicor is a plus).
• Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles is advantageous.
• Experience in a project-based manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to interpret prints and drawings.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

This role involves typical requirements found in a warehouse and manufacturing environment, including intermittent outdoor activities. Candidates should be prepared for the following:

• Regularly standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, crouching, reaching, and moving about the facility.
• Using hands for handling, feeling, and reaching.
• Communicating effectively.
• Lifting and moving objects, with mechanical aids available.
• Occasionally lifting heavier objects with assistance.
• Climbing and balancing as needed.
• Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, and fumes, with protective equipment provided.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures typical of a warehouse environment.
