Dynavac is seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate - Receiver to join our dynamic Warehouse Team. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our logistics and inventory management processes.
The primary focus of this position is on receiving goods, but it also encompasses various warehouse responsibilities such as shipping, kitting, and managing inventory transactions. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and proactive attitude to effectively collaborate with team members and engage with all levels of management within the organization. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining the efficient flow of materials and overall productivity within the facility.
Dynavac specializes in the design and manufacture of custom high vacuum process equipment used in satellite testing and thin film coatings. We offer a competitive salary range ($18 - $22 based on experience) along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, multiple health plan options (one at no cost to the employee), a generous Health Savings Account match, a 401K match, and a bonus plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and assist in all warehouse operations and related projects.
- Prioritize quality and safety in all tasks.
- Receive and verify materials and goods both physically and within our ERP system.
- Accurately store received materials and goods.
- Pick orders and deliver them to internal customers.
- Conduct inventory transactions and validation.
- Prepare kits for project orders.
- Participate in cycle counting and annual physical inventory.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies within the ERP system.
- Generate daily reports and assist in executing actionable outputs.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Competencies
- Strong organizational skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to operate a forklift (certification will be provided).
- Capability to lift up to 25 pounds and more, with material handling equipment available.
- Team-oriented and hands-on worker.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree or High School Diploma with relevant work experience.
- Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning software (experience with Epicor is a plus).
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles is advantageous.
- Experience in a project-based manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to interpret prints and drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
The role involves typical requirements found in a warehouse and manufacturing environment, including intermittent outdoor activities. The work environment may include exposure to various manufacturing hazards.
- Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and move about the facility.
- Regularly required to use hands for handling and manipulating materials.
- Regularly required to communicate effectively.
- Regularly lift and/or move objects unassisted, with mechanical aids available.
- Occasionally lift and/or move heavier objects with assistance.
- Occasionally required to climb and maintain balance.
- Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, and fumes; protective equipment is provided.
- Able to work in varying temperatures typical of a warehouse environment.
