Dynavac is seeking a skilled Warehouse Associate - Receiver to enhance our logistics operations. This role is crucial within the Dynavac Warehouse Team, primarily focusing on receiving while also engaging in various warehouse activities such as shipping, kitting, and inventory management.
The ideal candidate will possess the initiative and expertise to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization, ensuring the smooth flow of materials and productivity across the facility.
Dynavac specializes in the manufacture of custom high vacuum process equipment for satellite testing and thin film coatings. We offer a competitive salary range ($18 - $22 based on experience) along with a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, multiple health plan options (one at no cost to the employee), a generous Health Savings Account match, 401K matching, a bonus plan, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and perform all warehouse functions and related projects.
- Prioritize quality and safety in all tasks.
- Receive and document materials and goods in our Epicor ERP system.
- Accurately store received materials and goods.
- Pick orders and deliver them to internal stakeholders.
- Conduct inventory transactions and validations.
- Prepare kits for project orders.
- Participate in cycle counting and annual physical inventory.
- Resolve inventory discrepancies within the ERP system.
- Generate daily reports and assist in executing actionable outputs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform other assigned duties as necessary.
Required Competencies
- Strong organizational skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to operate a forklift (certification provided).
- Capability to lift up to 25 pounds and more (material handling equipment available).
- Team-oriented and hands-on approach.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
Qualifications
- Associate Degree or High School Diploma with relevant experience.
- Familiarity with ERP software (Epicor preferred).
- Understanding of Lean manufacturing principles is a plus.
- Experience in a project-based manufacturing setting is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret prints and drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Supervisory Role
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements
This role involves typical requirements found in a warehouse and manufacturing environment, including intermittent outdoor activity. Employees may encounter inherent manufacturing hazards.
- Regularly required to stand, sit, walk, bend, stoop, crouch, reach, and move about the facility.
- Frequent use of hands for handling and reaching.
- Regular communication is essential.
- Ability to lift and/or move objects unassisted, with mechanical aids available.
- Occasional lifting of objects greater than 50 pounds with assistance.
- Occasional climbing and balancing may be required.
- Exposure to shop elements such as noise, dust, odors, and fumes; protective equipment is provided.
- Ability to withstand typical warehouse temperatures with some outdoor exposure.
